New In Flames Music Video 'the Mirror's Truth' Posted Online
The Mirror’s Truth” is the roll out track from the Swedish metal titans’ eagerly anticipated new album A Sense of Purpose. The video was filmed at an abandoned factory site in Skellefteå, Sweden with the Swedish company Popcore Films (Cult of Luna, Kent). The eye-catching clip can be viewed online at this location.
“The Mirror’s Truth” will see release as a European single on March 7 and will be made available worldwide on March 11 via iTunes. The single can also be heard now via the IN FLAMES MySpace page: www.myspace.com/inflames. A Sense of Purpose will see an April 1, 2008 North American release date via Koch Records. The record was recorded at the band’s all new IF Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden and mixed by Toby Wright (Metallica, Slayer). A Sense of Purpose merges the band’s ambitious, forward thinking songwriting with the familiar harmonized lead guitar melodies that have populated previous IN FLAMES albums such as The Jester Race and Colony. When asked to comment on A Sense of Purpose, the band stated, “We are extremely happy with the end result and are so proud of what we have achieved with the new album. We can’t wait for you all to hear it.” A Sense of Purpose’s much-talked-about cover art and layout was designed by artist Alex Pardee (The Used, Kid Robot) and can be viewed at this location. The surreal artwork ties in with A Sense of Purpose’s overall packaging and design and visually tells the tale of a titular character navigating through a labyrinth while avoiding various dangers (representing life’s difficulties) that pepper his journey.
