Winds Of Plague Posts New Track Online; Announces New Keyboardist

WINDS OF PLAGUE are currently annihilating the masses across the U.S. as part the “Arthropodan Eroticism Tour” with Dead to Fall, Impending Doom and Belay My Last. This month-long trek kicked off their worldwide touring cycle for their much anticipated debut Century Media offering, Decimate The Weak, which is set for a Feb. 5th release. The group’s savagely brutal new track, “The Impaler,” has just been posted online at (www.myspace.com/windsofplague), so head over now to check it out. See below or check out the MySpace page to view their complete touring itinerary.

Johnny (vocals) states: “WINDS OF PLAGUE is pleased to announce the addition of ex-Abigail Williams keyboard player, Kristen Randall, into the band. We’re currently out on tour with Kristen and couldn’t be happier to announce her as a permanent member. The Dead To Fall tour has been amazing so far. Every city has showed us a lot of love and the crowds have gone insane. We are pleasantly surprised at how well the public is taking to our new material and we can’t wait for this new album to circulate because our live shows are just going to get more and more insane as people become familiar with the tracks.

“Decimate the Weak is the end result of many months of undying work and dedication and we can’t wait for everyone to hear it. We feel this album will be a huge milestone for WINDS OF PLAGUE and it’s just a small taste of what is to come. ‘The Impaler’ is a personal favorite of mine. The song seems to have a very strong and violent energy from start to finish with an anthem of perseverance running through the lyrics. We’re playing a lot of material from the record in our live set, so come out to a show and have some fun.”

Decimate The Weak was recorded with Daniel Castleman (As I Lay Dying, A Love Ends Suicide) and mixed by the legendary Tue Madsen (Himsa, The Haunted). This offering still retains the band’s hardcore roots while the atmospheric sounds of Scandinavian black metal and classic American metal reign supreme. This stunning slab of brutality annihilates the listener with its razor sharp riffs and sheer intensity backed with a monsoon of angst and inner demons that is just waiting to be expelled on stage.

In 2008, WINDS OF PLAGUE pave their own path of destruction unlike anyone has yet witness.
