Five Finger Death Punch Announced As Part Of The Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival
Los Angeles, CA – In what’s sure to be the hottest concert ticket of the summer, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH joins multi-platinum rock acts SLIPKNOT and DISTURBED on the first-ever ROCKSTAR ENERGY MAYHEM FESTIVAL. The festival will be a riotous road show packed with some of hard music’s most influential artists and a plethora of the genre’s most exciting young voices (including DRAGONFORCE, MASTADON, MACHINE HEAD, BLACK TIDE, SUICIDE SILENCE, THE RED CHORD, WALLS OF JERICHO, SEVENDUST, AIRBOURNE and 36 CRAZYFISTS). The tour is set to kick off July 9th at the White River Amphitheatre in Seattle and will hit 30 cities in the U.S. and Canada between early July and late August (a full itinerary will be announced in the coming weeks).
Euro-Metal veteran and previous U.P.O. guitarist, Zoltan Bathory, was the architect of what has morphed into FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, recruiting standout studio Metal drummer, Jeremy Spencer to add
his trademark ‘double-bass mayhem’ to the equation. Vocalist, Ivan Moody’s previous band,
MOTOGRATER, had played to huge crowds on Ozzfest and beyond, while guitarist Darrell Roberts
toured with metal legends W.A.S.P.. Matt Snell, bassist of acclaimed experimental outfits ANUBIS
RISING and DEADSETT, completed the circle by lending his considerable fretboard mastery to the band’s music.
Their album, THE WAY OF THE FIST, was recorded at Next Level Studios by Stevo “Shotgun” Bruno
(MOTLEY CRUE, PRONG) and at No Name Studios by Mikey Sarkisyan (SPINESHANK) with mixing and mastering duties being handled by Logan Mader (MACHINE HEAD, SOULFLY). The single “The
Bleeding” continues to climb the Active Rock radio charts (currently #13) making FFDP the only new
band in the Top 15. The single is now crossing over to Alternative Radio as well. With steady sales,
hitting around 67K in the short time since release, the band remains in the Top 10 in the Top New Artist
Chart since the album’s debut.
