Immolation Embarks On The “lucifer Over America Tour”
Legendary death metal titans IMMOLATION kick off a massive a month-long North American tour dubbed the “Lucifer Over America Tour” on Feb. 4th alongside Rotting Christ, Belphegor and Averse Sefira. The group’s new video for the track, “World Agony,” is set to make its MTV2 debut on Headbangers Ball this Saturday, Jan. 26th at 11PM EST/8PM PST. The track comes off the group’s acclaimed new album Shadows in the Light and for those of you that can’t wait to see the video feel free to check it out now on the band’s MySpace page.
Robert Vigna (guitars) further describes his excitement over the upcoming tour: “We are really looking forward to the upcoming U.S. tour. It is really a great package and a very dark one as well. We’ve known Rotting Christ for years and haven’t toured with them since the European festivals in the mid 90’s! So it will be good to be out with them again. Belphegor is a very strong act as well and they fit perfectly on the bill. Averse Sefira from Texas is black metal fire. We are really good friends with these guys so this whole tour is going to be a blast.
“Each band will bring something unique to the stage. This is going to be underground music at its best, and definitely it’s most evil. We want all fans of dark, sinister, death/black metal to come out and join us. We hope to see you all soon.”
Along with bands like Suffocation, Incantation and Mortician, IMMOLATION are one of the all important forefathers of New York death metal. Over the years, IMMOLATION has always increased the stakes on each release and this new effort is no exception. It encompasses all the band’s growth over the years and offers some of their most devastating material yet. Not only has the band developed their musical capabilities over the years, but they’ve also become one of the most intense live acts in the industry. Powerful, yet emotional, IMMOLATION are a force to be reckoned with.
