The Birthday Massacre Release New Album September 10 Us Tour Dates Begin 10/8

Instantly memorable songs and melodies rarely found amidst such heavy
tones. Entertainment Weekly

New York, NY — Toronto, Ontario¹s The Birthday Massacre are set to release
their third album, Walking With Strangers (Metropolis Records), on September
10.

Equal parts pop and 80s electronica with a sprinkling of goth, The Birthday
Massacre creates a sound that is brilliantly original and all their own. The
new album, Walking With Strangers, was co-produced by band guitarists
Rainbow and M. Falcore (who also handles the electronic programming), as
well as the legendary Dave “Rave” Ogilvie (Skinny Puppy), who also mixed.
All 12 tracks showcase the band’s unique vocals and unparalleled
musicianship. From the melodic piano strains of the opening song, Kill The
Lights, lead singer Chibi¹s sweet, powerful and stunningly beautiful vocals
show more range and maturity, from the delicate “Remember Me,” the powerful

“Goodnight,” to the haunting and atmospheric “Movie.” She seduces the
listener from the start straight through to close with the title track
Walking With Strangers. The Birthday Massacre effortlessly transitions
between the aggressive breakdowns on “Red Stars,” to the dance-rock
influenced “Science.” Rainbow’s synth programming adds an unmistakable
ambiance to the entire album, and standout rhythm hooks make Walking With
Strangers instantly addictive.

The Birthday Massacre once again manage to blend gothic, rock and electronic
music and to exceed the expectations of their ever-growing and devoted fan
base. The band remains true to the music that gained them the praise of fans
and music critics
alike, while further refining and expanding upon their signature sound.
